Practical information
The price includes entry to the reserve and a visit along the 3.5 km signposted route.
Length of visit: between an hour and two hours.

Unfortunately, our four-legged friends are not allowed in the reserve.
Reservations are compulsory at weekends, during school holidays and on public holidays.
Access to the reserve is slightly modified due to construction work. See the access diagram further down this page.

Timetable
Due to the risk of flooding, the Furfooz nature reserve may be exceptionally closed. Check our news on Facebook or Instagram to stay informed.
From March 10 to April 4, 2025:
Open: Saturday and Sunday
Opening hours: 10 AM – 3 PM
From April 5 to November 2, 2025:
Open: Daily
Opening hours: 10 AM – 4:30 PM
(Winter hours from October 26)
From November 3 to December 31, 2025:
Open: only on Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays, and school holidays
Opening hours: 10 AM – 3 PM
(closed on December 24-25-26 and December 31 – January 1-2)
Access
By car
10 minutes from Dinant, 30 minutes from Namur.
From the E411 motorway, exit 20, route Charlemagne (N97), exit Dinant, follow Furfooz.
Parking
A parking lot is located in front of the Furfooz cemetery, offering a picturesque 1.8 km walk through the village of Furfooz.
Another parking area is situated in front of the Gendron-Celles train station, providing a 1.2 km walk along the River Lesse. If you start from here, begin your walk in the reserve at La Flobette (follow the blue arrows).
Parking is also available in front of the reserve reception chalet.
By train
The Furfooz nature reserve is accessible by train from Gendron-Celles station (1.2 km walk). On leaving the station, turn left and follow the Lesse on the right bank (GR126 long-distance hiking trail).

Unfortunately, the site is not wheelchair accessible.

Access During Construction Work
As part of the Furfooz site enhancement project, construction work will take place throughout the 2024 season. We would like to inform you that the nature reserve will remain open to the public during this period. However, this work may affect the reserve’s parking lot as well as some trails temporarily.
We thank you for your understanding and invite you to regularly check our website for updates on the condition of the trails and infrastructure. We are doing everything we can to minimize inconvenience and provide you with a pleasant experience despite the ongoing work.
